Rochester Bridge
High Street, Rochester, Kent ME1 - England, UK

Map
The Romans were the first to bridge the Medway at Rochester. One of the Roman piers of this first bridge was discovered when the cast iron bridge seen today was built in 1856. At that time, Royal Engineers blew up another stone bridge dating from about 1391. Its balustrades can still be seen on Rochester esplanade. The Bridge offers wonderful views down the broad expanse of the River Medway.
