Samphire Hoe is the most recent extra large piece of land added to the United Kingdom. Located just a short distance from Dover, Samphire Hoe was constructed with the waste dug from the Channel Tunnel project and today is an oasis for wildlife. The site is owned by Eurotunnel and is accessed by a steep one way tunnel from the busy A20. Remarkable views of the White Cliffs of Dover can be seen as well as extensive walks.
