Laid out in the 18th Century by famous landscaper Capability Brown and added to in the 20th Century by its owner Arthur G. Soames, Sheffield Park Gardens contains 120 acres of beautiful lakes and gardens. The gardens are managed by the National Trust and are at their most colourful in spring and early summer with amazing displays of rhododendrons and azaleas. At any time of the year, visitors can enjoy walks amongst the lakes, cascades and waterfalls enjoying the many thousands of mature trees and shrubs.
