Sheldwich is a small village around five miles outside of Faversham on the main road between Ashford and Faversham and at its heart is St James' Church. The present day church dates from Norman times but there has been a church on the site for over 1000 years. A detailed history of the church and its close ties to the village can be read as you enter the church itself. Inside St James’ Church are many magnificent stain glass windows.
