This museum was opened in 1978, and was begun by a group of local enthusiasts who had a passion for aircraft and the period surrounding the Battle of Britain in 1940s Britain. The museum houses a large collection of aviation relics which have been excavated over a period of many years, as well as an impressive array of donated flying helmets, home front memorabilia and uniforms.
