Shorne Wood Country Park just off the A2 near Rochester is a beautiful oasis of calming ancient woodland. The country park is managed in an eco friendly manner and visitors can learn how to be ecologically sound in a large well equipped visitor centre. The park has extensive and well-marked trails that led the visitor through heathland, wetlands, ponds, lakes and open spaces. There is plenty of car parking available for which a small charge is made.
