This memorial building is located on the edge of the airfield, one of the key take off and landing points during the Battle of Britain. The museum houses an extensive collection of aeroplanes that took part in this famous air victory by the Royal Air Force. Officially opened in 1981, Dame Vera Lynn had the pleasure of cutting the ribbon and allowing visitor’s access to the Spitfires and Hurricanes that are on display.
