The picturesque town of Rye in East Sussex has been an important trading port since medieval times and also important as a place of worship with numerous churches including St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. The church was built to a Romanesque style fusing successfully with the Tudor and Jacobean buildings that surround it. Inside the church there is plenty of iconography with a particularly stunning icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa and beautiful stained glass windows in the sanctuary.
