St Edmund’s Chapel is an unassuming small church on Priory Road, but it is one of the oldest buildings in Dover. The chapel was started in 1253 as a place where travellers and pilgrims could stop, eat and rest on the busiest road through the town. The chapel was dedicated by St Richard to St Edmund. Today the small chapel is still an active place of Christian worship with regular services held within its walls.
