There has been a church on the current site of St John the Baptist church since as early as the 9th Century. Today’s imposing parish church was probably started around in the 12th Century. Within the walls of the church there is a great deal of history from wonderful stained glass windows of St George and the Dragon to many historic artefacts. St John the Baptist Church holds regular religious services and festivals throughout the year.
