The small town of Hawkhust in Kent is built over the valley between two large hills upon each was constructed a church. One of these churches is St Laurence Parish Church. St Laurence Parish Church is a beautiful 12th Century church that dominates the small Kentish town. The building is built of locally dug flint stone and mortar. During the Second World War the church was struck by a doodlebug and the damage took thirteen years to fix.
