Just outside of Maidstone and with a picturesque view over the River Medway in the valley below can be found St Mary’s Parish church in the village of East Farliegh. This Norman church dates from the 12th Century. The church holds the coat of arms of the Culpepper family, rich merchants of Maidstone in the 12th Century. St Mary’s Parish church holds regular services and festivals throughout the year and can be found on the busy B2010.
