St. Mary’s Church is situated in the small parish of Worplesdon, Surrey. The village itself is dissected by a main road running from Guildford to Woking and yet retains its charm. The church has a long history as the first written record of its existence dates back to 1086 when it was mentioned in the Surrey survey of the Domesday Book. The oldest part of the church today is the Chantry Chapel which probably dates from the 11th century. Visitors can take a pleasant walk through the churchyard down to Whitmoor Common.
