The beautiful St Oswald’s Church in the East Sussex village of Hooe has had a number of different names since it was founded in the late 15th Century. At various times the church has been dedicated to All Saints, St James and finally in 1877 to St Oswald. In design the church has a large tower supported by equally impressive buttresses. The four sides of the tower also each have a fearsome looking gargoyle, whilst a sundial is fitted to the south east buttress.
