Originally built at the start of the 11th Century, St Peter and St Paul parish church in the village of Borden, a short distance from Sittingbourne, is the focal point of the local community. The church, like so many others in Kent, was restored and updated by the Victorians, who removed many of the original Norman features. They did, however, decide to keep a marvellous 15th Century wall painting depicting of St Christopher that can be seen on the church’s south wall.
