Tenterden rose to prominence in the area in the 13th Century as one of the primary places for wool production and trade. The focus of this small museum takes in a great deal to do with this trade, and on display visitors will find looms, traditional wool-related tools and a series of informative notices explaining their uses. The museum also contains relics that have been excavated during digs, discovering the Roman past of the county.
