The Central Bandstand is one of Herne Bay's most striking buildings, and after years of neglect it has at last been restored. The work was paid for with money from the National Lottery, and the domed glass structure is once again the focal point of the seafront. It now has a restaurant, a pub, a visitor centre, and the Herne Bay Tourist Information Centre. The Bandstand was built in 1924.
