It could be very easy to dismiss The Historic Dockyard Chatham as being irrelevant but that would be to do it a massive injustice. The dockyard at Chatham, during its Royal Navy heyday, was the powerhouse of the local community providing employment to thousands, but its influence went further with the dockyard creating ropes, ships, tackles and a wealth of other items for the nation. Today this massive site offers families a true day out with a myriad of things to do and see.
