The Town Gate in Woking was built in 1992 and is an interesting piece of architecture. It was built as part of a project to help lend more identity to the centre of Woking which had been redeveloped at the same sort of time. The gate way is now one of the more famous landmarks in the town centre leading into the central square. The gate is used as a point of reference by many local people when they give directions in the central areas.
