This has got to be one of Kent's least well known castles - I only discovered it when a friend of mine was getting married and she chose a castle setting for the ceremony. Westhanger Castle is a perfect location for a wedding with its medieval, although unfilled, moat, minaret towers, ruins and wonderful lawns. It is only open on Sundays during the summer, as it is a private residence the rest of the time, so I suggest a look at their website to check for opening times. It is a lovely place for a visit as well as my friends wedding.
