Woking, a large town in Surrey, was where the Martians first landed in H. G. Wells' novel The War of the Worlds. Woking has two shopping centres, the Peacocks and Wolsey Place. Woking has excellent facilities including the Pool in the Park and a leisure centre. Outdoors there are tennis courts, football pitches, a cricket pitch, bowling greens, a crazy golf course, and much more.

  Latest Woking Review

A visit to Woking I have to admit, never really appealed, that was until I actually went there. It was something of a revelation with theatres, museums and award-winning art galleries and enough shops to even keep my wife satisfied. For me I took my camera for a walk along the towpath beside the Basingstoke Canal. I was surprised by Woking and surprised in a good way too.   - Zoe567
