Wye, a historic village in Kent, has the remains of a Roman camp and villa. Wye College was founded in 1447 by John Cardinal Kempe. On the Downs, a crown is carved in the chalk. This was done by students in 1902 to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII. Aphra Behn, a Restoration dramatist and spy, lived in Wye.

  Latest Wye Review

I love this charming village mostly because its name amuses me. A village with a question but there is so much more to this place than that. For a start it is home to the world famous Wye Agricultural College, a collection of stunning buildings and nearby is a beautiful 15th Century parish church. The village itself has an unhurried air about it with some delightful pubs, cafes and tea shops.   - Greg Williams
