Abereiddy is a pebbly beach made up mainly of shingle, however, at low tide, fine, dark sand is revealed. The west-facing cove lies between scenic cliffs and is a beach that can be enjoyed by all the family. A walk along the coastline through National Trust land, takes you to the Blue Lagoon, a popular spot for fossil hunting. Abereiddy beach is particularly rich in fossils of graptolites, an extinct sea creature. Facilities include parking near to the beach, wheelchair access to the Blue Lagoon, toilets and emergency telephone.
