Beacons Pottery and Picture Gallery occupies two floors of the historic 16th Century Defynnog Old School. Visitors can watch local potters working in the gallery studio making ceramics and domestic pottery. There is a full range of useful stoneware pots for the home and kitchen, also, original sculpted and decorated ceramics, The Picture Gallery contains framed paintings and prints by artists living and working in South Wales and the Brecon Beacons. There is also a fascinating antiques section. The Victorian Tea Rooms with its tempting dishes is well worth a visit.
