Belle Vue Park was built at the end of the 19th Century on land donated by Lord Tredegar to establish a public park for the people of Newport. It is a Grade II listed park and is currently undergoing restoration as it has many beautiful Victorian features such as a bandstand, conservatories, pavilions and rockeries. The park has a variety of rare trees and shrubs including Himalayan Magnolias and Judas Trees. It is a wonderful park to walk around and there is a children’s play area at the bottom of the hill.
