This fascinating, small, limestone island forms the northern tip of Rhossili Bay and is accessible for about two hours each side of low water. It is an interesting island to explore. An Iron Age earthwork runs north to south, bisecting the island. There are also the remains of an early monastic settlement and the ruins of a 12th Century church. To visit Burry Holms, check the tide times, and approach from Rhossili Beach, or park at the end of the lane north-west of Llangennith.
