This village church was built by the Normans in the 12th Century and displays some interesting architectural features. These include a Saxon-style saddleback tower in addition to an unusual font and a leper’s window through which people suffering from the disease could see the altar. In the churchyard a bronze sundial is mounted on the base of a mediaeval cross. There is a local tradition which states that some of the woodwork in the church came from one of the ships in the Spanish Armada which was wrecked at Nash Point.
