This National Trust property is set in a peaceful valley, surrounded by broadleaf forest. The gardens are well known for their rhododendrons and azaleas, and there is a magnificent walled garden, and a sculpture trail. There are many walks on wooded paths including one which leads down to the sea. There is a teashop, National Trust gift shop and toilets. There is ample free parking and dogs are welcome on leads. A programme of events is also available, included guided walks and lunch with the Head Gardener, evening entertainment, and family fun days.
