Dolforwyn Castle
Dolforwyn, Montgomery, Powys SY15 6JH - Wales, UK

Map
Dolforwyn Castle is a ruined fortification that stands just outside of Montgomery in Powys. The castle was built by the Welsh princes as a defensive post against the English, although it only succeeded in this role for so long. Eventually the castle was taken over by Edward I and turned into a castle to help the occupation of the English. The site is managed by Welsh Heritage.
