Dylan Thomas was one of Britain’s greatest twentieth-century writers and anyone who has read his works will appreciate the peace and inspiration afforded to Thomas by the boathouse at Laugharne. He lived at the boathouse for the last four years of his life and wrote his most famous work, Under Milk Wood, here. Visitors can now go inside the boathouse which still contains original furnishings, they can see the writing shed that Thomas used to pen his works, and then they have the pretty village of Laugharne itself to explore.
