Fan Gyhirych is one of the South Western Beacons, and rises to 2,379ft above sea level. It has recently been declared open access land, so visitors are free to enjoy many activities without being restricted to footpaths. These include walking, picnicking, parascending, horseriding, mountain biking, kite flying and bird watching. There are several well-trodden routes to the summit where you will be rewarded with fine views of Cray Reservoir. It is reached via the A4067 Tawe Valley road.
