The North Pembrokeshire coast around Fishguard abounds with rocky outcrops jutting dramatically into the sea, half-hidden coves with sea caves redolent of a bygone age of smuggling, and undulating cliff-top paths offering spectacular views across Fishguard Bay. Part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path follows this stretch of coast, from the colourful quayside houses of Lower Fishguard, (which featured in the 1956 film Moby Dick, starring Gregory Peck) for the nine miles northwards to the village of Newport (eleven miles including Dinas Head).
