Not much is still standing of Kenfig Castle but the ruins of this Norman built fortress is definitely worth a visit. The castle was built in the 12th Century and around it grew the small town of Kenfig. Kenfig Castle was excavated in the 1920s and amongst the finds were a stone axe, arrowheads, pottery, and leather and iron artefacts, which were all donated to the National Museum to be put on display.
