Kenfig Nature Reserve is a superb example of Welsh coastal landscape. The sand-dune system spreads across the majority of the reserve and is home to a wide variety of plants and wildlife. At the centre of the reserve lies Kenfig pool, the largest natural lake in South Wales. There are two bird hides overlooking the pool, providing the perfect lookout for bird enthusiasts. The reserve is open all the year round and in the information centre there is an exhibition for children of all ages and a shop selling leaflets, books and gifts.
