Manorbier Castle is situated in "the pleasantest spot in Wales” according to Gerald of Wales, who was born at Manorbier in the 12th Century. The castle and its surrounding lands are nestled in a narrow valley carved from two streams which flow past sandy beaches to Manorbier Bay. Inside the castle are pleasant lawns with benches to relax on and a gift shop which also serves refreshments. Atmospheric medieval music plays quietly in the background as you explore the castle and enjoy the spectacular views out to sea.
