Margam Abbey Church was founded in 1147 by Robert of Gloucester. The Abbey sits within the grounds of Margam Country Park which offers beauty, history, wildlife and a wide range of facilities and things to do, including guided walks, a narrow gauge railway, an adventure playground for the kids and a farm trail. Set in 850 acres of beautiful grounds the park also boasts a Celtic stones museum and beautiful 18th Century Orangery.
