This museum opened its doors to the public in 1996 and is dedicated to the use of the Pendine area and its flat sands for a variety of land speed and racing records. The main focus of the exhibit is the motor vehicle known as ‘Babs’ that was used by the speed enthusiast Parry Thomas who sadly died whilst trying to break the land speed record in 1927.
