Newcastle Emlyn is a small, market town located on the River Teifi in Carmarthenshire. There are some attractive buildings and the remains of a medieval castle stand above a meander of the river. It was destroyed at the end of the Civil War. South-east of the town is a museum devoted to the Welsh woollen industry.
