Newgale Sands is celebrated for its two mile stretch of clean beach. It is particularly excellent for surfing with its huge atlantic waves, also for windsurfing and kayaking. The beach is rimmed by a natural ridge of smooth pebbles which act as a flood defence at high tide. It is easy to access with wheelchairs and pushchairs. It is dog- friendly and has a nearby café, toilets, surfboard hire and lifeguards. Newgale is seven miles from Haverfordwest.
