Oxwich Castle is located close to the coast overlooking a headland into Oxwich Bay, offering fine views across this charming area of South Wales. Although there was almost certainly an earlier fortification at this position, the building that visitors see today was a grand Tudor manor house built during the 16th Century. The site is owned and operated by Welsh Heritage, and has some charming examples of Elizabethan architecture on show.
