The Red Kite Feeding centre is designed to fit naturally into the Black Mountain landscape and provides bird lovers the ideal opportunity to witness Red Kites feeding and performing their acrobatic turning and swooping. Visitors may sit in the specially built hide only feet away from diving birds and observe them competing naturally for the meat provided by the feeding centre at regular times throughout the year. Around 50+ birds may be seen gathering before the feed, soaring high into the sky until they start diving onto their food.
