At 632 feet above sea level, the summit of Rhossili Down is the highest point on Gower. It is a superb viewpoint, offering stunning views of Worms Head, Rhossili Beach and the surrounding countryside. A Bronze Age cairn lies north of the summit, and on the hill`s gentle eastern slopes are two Neolithic burial chambers known as Sweyne`s Howes. A steep path to the summit starts from near Rhossili Church, and another gentler path can be found at the northern end of Rhossili Down, near Llangennith.
