The curtain waterfall of Sgwd Yr Eira, (Fall of Snow), has been formed where the river Hepste leaps over a fifty foot cliff between high banks. Its main feature is a narrow path that leads behind the falls which is great fun to explore and look through the falling water. This track has been used by local sheep farmers for centuries. The falls are most spectacular when the river is in spate, after heavy rainfall the previous few days. There is a convenient car park nearby.
