Skomer is a spectacular island habitat, one of the most important sites for wildlife in North West Europe. It is situated off the Pembrokeshire coast, accessible by boat from Martin’s Haven between 1st April to 31st October. Puffins are the island’s most famous residents, and there’s a wealth of seabirds, seals and porpoises you might see. Skomer is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and with the surrounding sea and the Marloes peninsula is part of the Skomer Marine Nature Reserve. It is a very sunny island, with one of the lowest rainfall rates in Wales.
