The Church of St Cynog lies at the edge of the village of Defynnog in a delightful rural situation. It dates from medieval times and is famous for the ancient Celtic Window. Inside there is an early medieval inscribed stone and a font and stoup both of very early date. The tower has interesting details such as round- and camber-headed windows, striking gargoyles, and battlements. The well maintained churchyard is a peaceful place with sunny seating areas.
