St Justinian is named after a Celtic saint who lived on Ramsey Island until he was beheaded by his followers who rebelled against his strict rules. According to the legend, he picked up his head and walked across Ramsey Island to the mainland where he was buried on the site of the now ruined chapel. The harbour at St Justinian is home to St David`s lifeboat station which was built in 1911. From the harbour are boat trips to and around Ramsey Island, as well as bird watching cruises and fishing trips. St Justinian is also a good starting point for clff walks.
