The award-winning Tenby Museum and Art Gallery is one of the oldest independent museums in Wales. It is housed in part of the remains of Tenby Castle and overlooks the beach. The collections include permanent displays of archaeology and geology and the maritime and social history of Tenby and Pembrokeshire. There is a good collection of Tenby Lifeboat memorabilia and photographs, a display tracing Tenby’s history and plenty of activities for children. Works of art by artists such as Augustus John, Gwen John and John Piper.
