The Kymin is a wooded hill overlooking the Wye Valley and the town of Monmouth. From its 840 feet high top are extensive views stretching to Ysgyryd Fawr and the Sugar Loaf near Abergavenny. It is crowned by a circular, Georgian banqueting house built as a dining club, and nearby is a Temple commemorating the victories of the British Bavy. Nelson sailed up the River Wye to visit it in 1802. There is a car park nearby and the Kymin is on the route of the Offa`s Dyke Path.
