The attractive town hall in Montgomery, with its clock tower, was built in 1748 of pale red brick, and looks down from its position at the top of the town square. The Georgian building, one of the most prominent in this small historic town, is said to be one of the finest examples of its kind in Wales. It is a venue for concerts, dinners, and dances and also used for a twice-weekly market where people supplying local produce sell their wares, along with a variety of other goods.
