Tredegar House is one of the finest examples of a 17th Century Charles II house anywhere in Britain and is surrounded by 90 acres of parkland including a lake and woodland. The house is open to the public who can witness at first hand what it was like to live in the house both as a wealthy occupier and a poor servant. The house also has an interesting art collection including many paintings from the late 17th century. There are many events in the house and the surrounding grounds throughout the year. It is also said to be haunted.
